"From the outside it looks like something off the Christmas sweets tin - all traditional 17th Century, village green and historic church. Inside its all roaring fireplace, nooks and crannies. Its one of those rare pubs that still manages to be one while deftly morphing into a restaurant at the rear."
"This was no ordinary steak and kidney pudding with mamby pamby flaky pastry but one made with good old fashioned suet pastry. Its so devastating that it comes in His and Hers sizes. By now I was tiring but the tender steak chunks succulent kidneys and red wine gravy were impossible to resist."

"Upon our arrival we were received by very welcoming and freindly staff who were genuine and pleasant throughout our entire visit. We had the Steak and Kidney Puddings which we both thought were very good but defeated us both! We will definitely visit again."

"On arrival we were treated with a very friendly welcome and the waiting staff were very attentive. Good selection on the wine list with a good offer on buy 2 glasses and get the rest of the bottle for free."

"Still our favourite pub. Cosy, friendly and the food is excellent."
J Taylor, Trimingham
" The place was busy enough to have a quiet buzz but not so busy that it set you on edge. There was a relaxed, unhurried pace about everything that seemed in keeping with the genial country pub charms. The food surpassed all expectations. Hearty rather than sophisticated, it gave lie to the notion that quantity is often a poor substitute for quality. Being in no hurry and won over by the easy-going spirit of the Crown and its friendly young staff we indulged in desserts. With the whole bill coming in at a little under £35, including the drinks, this amounted to a thoroughly enjoyable diversion which I suspect is to become a regular feature of our coastal forays."

"My wife and I enjoyed our lunch so much on 14th February that I brought my parents to the Crown on saturday when they were visiting from Oxfordshire- we were not disappointed. Now they are spreading the word about where to eat!"

"Just a few lines to thankyou for the incredible Burns Supper and also the practical kindness to our friend who elegantly fainted on your floor! What a great night thankyou and we're looking forward to next January!"
